From
its humble beginnings in 1873, the Ritchies group of stores has
grown into an Australian Independent Retailing icon. The first Ritchies
Store opened on what is now Nepean Highway, Frankston, subsequently
expanding to the Mornington Peninsula, metropolitan Melbourne, Gippsland
and most recently Victoria’s Western District.
On
this page you will find a link to read the historically significant
book detailing the progress of Ritchies Stores from the arrival
of its founder - Thomas Ritchie - in Melbourne in 1873.
