At Ritchies, looking after our customers and our local communities is always our top priority. We understand the impact COVID-19 is having and want all our customers to know we are doing everything we can to support you and keep you informed.
We've completed our rollout of "Sneeze Screens" at our checkouts to safeguard both our customers and staff.
Store customer counts are being performed in all of our stores to ensure we are operating within the guidelines provided.
We’re continuing to work hard to keep our shelves stocked. We’ve put on more staff and whilst we’re placing more orders on the things you want to purchase; demand continues to remain high. Rest assured we are doing our best to keep up with your demand on the products that you need and want.
Purchase Limits on Key Items
Purchase limits on key items continue to be relaxed as supply begins to return to normal levels. These limits are being managed on a store by store basis and are subject to change, please see in store for details.
Suppliers of these critical lines continue to work overtime to meet the increased demand, and they have placed additional staff into our warehouses to help us with ordering as well.
Change of mind “return policies” suspended
Ritchies have temporarily suspended “change of mind” returns.
Our stores are being cleaned more than usual
As food stores, we already have very high standards of cleaning and hygiene in place. Ritchies continue to intensify our cleaning practices. We are dedicating more time to sanitization procedures, focussed on the most common touch points in store.
Hand sanitising stations are being installed throughout our store network. These Australian made hand sanitising stations are being placed at the entry to all of our stores for your convenience and safety.
Where possible we would encourage customers to use “tap and go” eftpos in place of cash. By reducing contact with other surfaces including cash you are limiting your risk and the risk to our cashiers.
We remind customers of the 1.5m “social distancing” guidelines are still in place and ask all customers to adhere to these guidelines including when lining up at the registers. Markers have been put on floors in all stores to assist customers maintain social distancing.
Keeping you updated if there is a case in one of our stores
We continue to take advice from the Department of Health to make sure we’re taking all the necessary steps to ensure ongoing safety, including additional detailed cleaning in store where necessary.
