Help Australian Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes (SADS) Foundation
Cardiac arrhythmias can affect anyone & often the young, and culminate in a person dying very suddenly and unexpectedly. The Australian Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes (SADS) Foundation offers Support & Information to patients and families living with a cardiac arrhythmia disorder.
The Australian SADS Foundation was established in October 1998, after a Melbourne family had the Long QT Syndrome diagnosis made in four of their five children. They are working at furthering Awareness of Cardiac Arrhythmia Disorders in the young, in the hope that they may help to save lives.
There is still much to be learnt about the causes of heart arrhythmia disorders that can strike without warning to healthy fit young people. Often sufferers have no reason to suspect that their heart is vulnerable to such life threatening disorders.
Please visit the SADS website, www.sads.org.au for further information and read personal stories from others living with a cardiac arrhythmia.
If you would like to help SADS Australia in their life saving work, you can nominate them when you apply for your Ritchies Community Benefit Card. 1% of your total shopping bill will be donated to them on your behalf at no extra cost to you.
Their CB number is: 92251.
