When did you join Ritchies? I join Ritchies in 1999.
Tell us about your career path: I commenced at the original Towerhill store as a produce full timer. After around 4 months was moved to Seaford as Produce Manager. I helped with re-launching several stores during this time (including the then new Dromana) and was promoted to Mt Eliza. An internal position of Food Safety Supervisor became available and I was lucky enough to commence in this role. After 4 years I got the opportunity to move back into a senior produce role, this time as Supervisor for all the Victorian stores which I enjoyed for around 10 years. With the retirement of Vince Martino from the buying role I was given the opportunity to go to the markets and become a buyer.
What do you enjoy most about working for Ritchies? Easy. The people I work with on a daily basis.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received? Everyone else isn’t always wrong.
What is a favourite quote? It is what it is (or bite off more than you can chew and chew like hell)
Where is your favourite destination in the world, or dream to visit? Anywhere tropical with good snorkelling.
Do you have a pet? I have 2 pet dogs.
