Josh McComb – Vic Liquor Territory Manager

When did you join Ritchies?  I started at Ritchies in July 2014.  

What do you do at Ritchies?  I am a Liquor Territory Manager in VIC and also Weekend IT Support.  

Tell us about your career path - I started at Ritchies as a casual at our Cranbourne liquor store restocking the store, before becoming full time team member at Wantirna store.  I spent the next 3 years at Wantirna, learning a lot about store management and even more in a role of Relief Manager before settling at Yarra Glen store for 6 years.  I had the opportunity to take on the management of several liquor projects such as store acquisitions and renovations and then in May 2024 I became a Liquor Territory Manager for the Mornington Peninsula, Metro Melbourne and South Gippsland.

What is a favourite quote?    “Right now, it’s like this” – Ajahn Sumedho.  Without going too in depth, this is simply a quote about mindfulness of the now. To not dwell on the past of which can’t be changed, or the future which we have little control over.

What is your favourite thing to buy in a Supermarket?   In the Liquor department, a decent bourbon or scotch!

Do you have a pet?  I have a dog, a 7 year old Japanese Spitz named Dexter!
