Ritchies Stores loyalty program data storage incident

Dear customer,

We have created this webpage to keep you updated and informed of any developments relating to the recent loyalty program data storage incident experienced by our third-party supplier.

We recently detected that some of our loyalty program customer information held by a third-party supplier had not been stored in line with our data security protocols. 

This potentially resulted in unauthorised access to personal information relating to a limited number of our loyalty program customers.  We want to assure you that we have found no evidence of any malicious activity or misuse of personal information in relation to this incident. 

Ritchies has worked with its third-party supplier and secured the storage of this information. The potentially impacted data is no longer accessible. Ritchies has also informed the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) of the incident. 

The email we have sent you provides guidance on steps you may wish to take to protect your data and defend yourself against scams. This also includes resources and contact points if you would like to understand more about cyber security.
