The classic Mint Julep is a cooling summertime favourite and a time-honoured fixture of Kentucky culture. For enhanced flavour, use fresh mint leaves!

- 2 parts Basil Hayden Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- 1/2 part simple syrup
- Fresh mint leaves
Method
1. Add all mint and syrup to a julep tin cup or rocks glass.
2. Gently muddle mint to express the oils.
3. Add crushed ice.
4. Pour Basil Hayden over ice.
5. Stir throughly.
6. Garnish with a mint sprig.
