Founded in Victoria in 1964, the Epilepsy Foundation has been making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with epilepsy for over 60 years. Every 33 minutes, someone in Australia is diagnosed with epilepsy. Today, more than 270,000 Australians live with the condition.
The Epilepsy Foundation works tirelessly to ensure that people with epilepsy have equal access to education and employment, feel safe and connected in their communities, and are supported to live their lives free from fear and stigma. Their comprehensive services include:
Education and training for individuals, families, carers, and professionals
Tailored support, such as the development of Epilepsy Management Plans
NDIS guidance and advocacy
Peer support programs, both in-person and online
Research funding aimed at finding a cure
Their mission is simple but powerful: to ensure that no one with epilepsy has to face it alone.
